What is the Lil' Dragons Karate Program?

Our Lil' Dragons Karate Program is a specialized martial arts program designed to be both fun and educational.  We teach the basic elements of Taekwondo & Karate in a positive and motivating environment to enhance the developmental, physical and mental abilities of our students.  Through the age appropriate curriculum, children learn teamwork, focus, control, balance, discipline, fitness, coordination and much more.


What makes the Lil' Dragons Karate Program different from regular children's martial arts classes?

The Lil' Dragons Karate Program is tailor made for this young age group and therefore better meets their needs.  All promotions are based on participation and course completion and classes are taught in a non-competitive environment.  Our primary objective is to get the students involved, giving 100% effort and having fun.  The primary focus of the class is to develop fundamental basics, creating a solid foundation to build upon.  Every activity you will see during a class session has a definite purpose.  While the students are having fun learning blocking, punching and kicking along with fun games, drills and relays, they are unknowingly developing motor skills appropriate for their age.  This will include coordination skills, right and left side development, flexibility, muscle strength, muscle control, timing and balance.  We also stress the importance of using martial arts only when in danger.  In addition, Karate and Taekwondo training is one of the best sports for overall development and provides multiple benefits that will transfer over into other sports as well.
